We are looking for a Paid media expert with a focus on Paid Social to join our in-house organization of Media planning experts responsible for planning and execution stewardship for all consumer campaigns across the Meta family of apps and Meta Corporate Marketing. Our Media Planning team is at the forefront of media, constantly pushing the boundaries of plans to captivate audiences and contribute to business outcomes, through collaboration, continuous learning, and a commitment to excellence.
Media Planning Manager Responsibilities:
In this role, you will serve as a thought leader in the implementation of marketing initiatives on our own platform, diligently applying and improving upon best practices for media strategy, creative and measurement to deliver meaningful impact for the Meta brand and the family of apps
They will own media strategy and planning of Meta Consumer Marketing initiatives on our own platforms, with a primary focus on leading campaign strategy, channel measurement and learning agenda development. They will partner deeply with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Decision Science, Insights, and Creative while owning the relationship with our agency to drive flawless execution of marketing campaigns. The person hired will have deep media expertise across paid social channels as well as the broader digital media landscape
Partner closely with team members on the Media Strategy and Media Planning teams as well as cross functional teams and internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Product Managers, Decision Science, and Creative
This role will center on driving innovation and thought leadership for Meta and the Family of Apps marketing programs on our platforms, leveraging insights and data to inform strategic decisions while creating opportunities to improve performance.
Stay abreast of key media and advertising trends and innovations across Meta platforms, leveraging this knowledge to influence marketing strategies that drive results.
Track in flight performance, measure and effectively communicate outcomes of marketing campaigns. Partner with cross functional teams to inform and influence future campaign strategy decisions and media investments.
Help shape and drive learning agendas in conjunction with data science, research and insights
Lead the strategy and execution of successful Meta Ad campaigns overseeing all aspects of campaign set up, optimization, troubleshooting, and reporting, with a focus on flawless execution and efficiency.
Partner with the media agency to ensure successful execution, monitoring and optimization of campaigns.
Leverage large and abstract datasets to identify scalable drivers of impact for the business
Own and manage In-product campaigns and activations leveraging new systems and tactics
Identify and manage opportunities for Meta ads product team to further develop our ad platform, tools, and guidelines based on business insights
Own resolution of technical challenges, by collaborating with internal product/engineering teams
Project manage complex work streams and initiatives across marketing objectives
Stay abreast of key media and advertising trends and innovations across Meta platforms and media landscape
Streamline processes where applicable and build scalable solutions to support a number of campaigns across Meta Brand and Product consumer marketing
Continue to build the team's identity and establish working relationships with the Brand and Product Marketing team
Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years experience in digital media, 3+ years experience in paid social
Proven experience with Meta Ads Manager and other digital advertising platforms, having crafted media solutions that drive positive outcomes
Experience creating, implementing and measuring a comprehensive strategy leveraging the Meta advertising products
Digital advertising experience, with understanding of ad operations, trafficking, and/or data analytics
Experience building relationships with cross-functional groups and influencing outcomes across multiple levels of management, teams and disciplines
Experience with A/B testing and marketing effectiveness measurement methodologies i.e brand lift studies conversion lift, Media Mix Models etc.
Project management experience
Microsoft Excel experience (e.g. pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros)
Analytical experience working with data teams to analyze product performance and inform decision-making
Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Economics, Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field
Professional experience at a media agency or ad tech firm
Understanding of mobile creative best practices
Big Brand Experience, either working at large agencies or holding companies
Experience with direct response and brand marketing is a plus, data and technology solutions, advertising technology, and/or advertising partnerships
Basic to intermediate-level SQL proficiency
