Your Role
The Service Support Technician is responsible for assembling and calibrating leak testers and mechanical pneumatic instruments. This position will also ensure all products are tested and built in accordance with product procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble, test, and calibrate Uson leak master
Provide support to products in the field to include but not limited to email/phone/site visit contact with reps, sales managers, customers, and field technicians.
Complete the checkout process of Uson products.
Ensure proper calibration and working order of instruments and tools needed.
Maintain product inventory by ensuring the accuracy of Bill of Materials; and properly documenting and costing additional parts needed.
Maintain current standards and practices for current products as well as accomplish training required for new products.
Work with fellow teammates to ensure department policy and procedures are adhered to when testing products.
Diligently ensure all products pass final audit without any non-conformities.
Ensure adherence to ISO 9001-2008 and all quality policies and procedures as applicable.
Maintain a clean, organized working space along with production area.
Complete and turn in daily production reports subsequent to every shift.
Properly file documents as needed according to product filing system.
Participate in department goals and objectives.
All other reasonable duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
Minimum 2 years in a technical school or related experience preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:.
Able to have working understanding of ladder logic but will not be programming PLC's.
Able to assemble pneumatics.
Able to assemble electronics.
Able to understand blueprints.
Working knowledge of MS Office suite, and Windows OS.
Able to work overtime as needed.
Able to work harmoniously with others.
Able to keep tasks on track with distractions.
Ability to prioritize and manage tasks within a production line.
Ability to proactively anticipate, identify and solve problems in communication with the internal and external customers.
Good oral and written skills.
Ability to work with team members but also able to direct own work.
Detailed oriented with the ability and drive to follow up on outstanding tasks.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to hear and verbally exchange ideas and information with the public, staff and others on the phone and in the office.
This position will frequently be required to sit, stand, and walk.
This position may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Use finger dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment and hand strength to grasp files and other objects.
May require the ability to climb stairs, to kneel and/or crouch to retrieve equipment and other items.
Work Environment & Travel:
Essential duties of this classification are primarily performed in a dynamic manufacturing environment that may include frequent interruptions and a high level of contact with staff, other members of management, customers, vendors, and off-site employees/locations.
5% travel - May require travel to customer sites on an as needed basis.
