A Consultant-Physician Outreach is externally facing and acts as the key contact for referring doctors, medical practices, and their staff to facilitate relationship building between referring providers and faculty at Cincinnati Children's. This role will conduct outreach locally, regionally and nationally that targets Maternal Fetal Medicine and OB/Gyn's physicians. Outreach tactics will be determined in collaboration with the Fetal Care Center leadership team with the goal of maintaining and growing referral relationships between providers and faculty in the Fetal Care Center. Overnight travel will be required approximately 30% of the time. A background in sales, healthcare, and/or business development is preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Implementation - Uses specialized experience to provide in-depth strategic insight in evaluating, developing and implementing growth opportunities for the Fetal Care team. Leverages relationships and territory knowledge to develop resources that can be used broadly and benefit providers. Collaborates with Fetal Care team for resource development as needed
Consultation - Consults with hospital leaders, risk management, marketing, continuing education, medical staff office, PHO, Healthvine, Business Development etc., to support meaningful physician outreach efforts. In consultation with Fetal Care leadership, develops appropriate clinical resources for providers and their staff locally, regionally, nationally or internationally.
Strategic Management - Uses knowledge and insight to direct and manage outreach tactics that will optimize relationships and highlight Fetal Care priorities. Utilizes Salesforce (CRM) data to measure and monitor referral patterns and to identify opportunities within a geographic region of practices. Works with divisions to develop sustainable strategies that will increase referrals or minimize leakage. Collaborates with various inpatient and outpatient clinical leadership and teams to help communicate programmatic changes as needed.
Project Planning - Develops comprehensive strategies to maintain and grow relationships across several markets. Leverages multiple communication channels and aligns messaging for maximum impact. Collaborates with Marketing on organizational priorities targeting referring physicians.
Business Planning - Plans and evaluates referral opportunities using Salesforce and Business Objects as data sources. Monitors referral patterns to identify market opportunities or threats and shares insights with organizational leaders. Collaborate with Fetal Care leaders to inform and leverage market knowledge and referring physician relationships.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required
•Bachelor's degree in a related field
5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline such as sales, business development, healthcare
