Description: Position Purpose: Responsible for reviewing charges for all patients related to clinical trials and to ensure proper compliance and reimbursement.
What you will do:
Remote Position - prefer candidates to live in the South Florida Area
This person will be responsible for the conduct of multiple clinical research activities. Responsible for providing budgeting and billing support for the Clinical Research Program and clinical research studies, ensuring appropriate and accurate billing of patient services for study care. Responsible for developing, refining and maintaining tools to accomplish these tasks to facilitate the budgeting and billing process. Conduct or assists with billing audits and troubleshooting the Clinical Research billing process.
Responsible for the review and processing of bills for patients enrolled in clinical trials.
Reviews research study subjects accounts to ensure correct reimbursement and billing compliance.
Conduct or assist staff with billing audits, troubleshooting and mistake-proofing the process.
Communicates with research team to resolve billing issues. Meets with Hospital Billing and Physician Billing staff to ensure that the billing process was completed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum two (2) years of research, coding or medical billing experience required
Needs to demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail
Requires good communication skills including the ability to communicate clinical research budgeting and billing concepts to non-accounting staff, speak in front of small to medium groups, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Prefer knowledge of research, coding, and financial aspects related to medical visits, procedures and tests.
Ability to work independently with good organizational skills.
Requires skill in the use of various software applications including GE/IDX, CTMS, Excel and Word.
Able to function effectively in a team setting.
Education:
Prefer bachelor's degree or two to four years related research, coding, or medical billing experience. Experience may be substituted for education.
