Vertiv in Westerville, OH is seeking a Vice President, Operations for our Americas region. This person will provide regional leadership and oversight of all manufacturing operations and supply chain functions across Vertiv in the Americas Region. Key areas of focus of this role will include inventory management, material savings and flow through, supplier base/relationships, lean operating initiatives, and regional footprint decisions.
Success in this role requires the new Vice President, Operations to possess the leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to articulate a clear vision. He/she will use innovative processes and lean manufacturing techniques to create significant value for the company through operational excellence and financial efficiency. She/he will bring a proven playbook to ensure that Vertiv achieves and exceeds customer expectations while maximizing financial returns to its stakeholders. Specifically, the Vice President, Operations will implement the proper manufacturing and supply chain operational controls, as well as the necessary reporting procedures. Additionally, she/he will establish an organizational structure that supports these initiatives by placing the best people in the right roles.

Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day leadership and management across the manufacturing and supply chain divisions in the region.
Responsible for driving the operations to surpass business Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all operations processes. Specifically, the Vice President, Operations will provide timely, accurate, and operational metric reports on all items related to manufacturing and supply chain management.
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for manufacturing and supply chain infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth and efficiencies throughout the organization.
Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; attract, recruit, and retain required members of the senior team not currently in place.
Act as lead "client-care officer" through direct contact with customers and partner.
Lead a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Preferred Master's degree in Business or related field
A minimum of 15 years of experience gained at high-performing, complex manufacturing companies of at least $1 billion in annual sales, leading from demand creation through fulfillment. Of which, five years will have been spent serving in a Senior Management role.
The leader will have significant experience leading a multi-site, regional and/or global manufacturing organization.
A demonstrated track record of operational excellence to include extensive lean manufacturing/six sigma, industrial engineering, relationship management, quality, end-to-end supply chain, and project management experience; particularly working closely with plant and corporate resources to develop and lead an organization known for world-class products and quality.
He/she will have deep experience in financial planning and analysis around manufacturing and supply chain with previous experience in reducing costs, improving profits, and streamlining operations.
The leaders will be respected for driving efficiencies, championing continuous improvement, while ensuring high commitment to safety.
He/she will have excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission.
Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
The leader will have experience with mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
Upwardly mobile; demonstrated a track record of advancement with the ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility.
