Position Summary
Under general supervision of department management, performs various jobs related to repairs and maintenance of automatic control valves, pressure regulators, altitude valves, pump control valves.
Specific Responsibilities
Clean, disassemble, inspect, adjust, assemble, exercise and install Control Valves.
Completes all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs.
Coordinates with co-workers to ensure completion of job responsibilities.
Attend required training to assure work is performed in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Company policy and safety standards.
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Ability to use independent judgement and initiative.
Ability to accurately carry out instructions and demonstrate procedures.
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to read and understand a variety of maps: GIS, as built, diagrams.
Ability to use technology: computers, SCADA, GIS,
Experience with or aptitude for work with complex mechanical devices.
Knowledge of the company's service area.
Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum Class D Water Operators license at time of hire.
Must obtain Class C license before expiration of Class D license.
Two years' experience in technical or specialized training acquired in technical school.
Three to five years of related experience.
Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
