About the Role: Reporting to the Administrative Director, this position plays a pivotal role in identifying and implementing project management methodology and prioritizing a portfolio of projects within the expanding WellMD & WellPhD Center. The Project Manager will oversee large, complex projects supporting high-stakes deliverables for Stanford Medicine, including those aligning with organization-wide operational metrics, informing decision-making, and tracking planning and improvement efforts among all clinical departments. Independently leading projects requiring high levels of functional integration and collaboration across disciplines, the Project Manager will ensure successful project completion in alignment with WellMD & WellPhD Center and Organization-wide goals.Examples of projects:

About You:You are a seasoned Project Manager with a proven expertise in managing the full project cycle. Your deep understanding of project management extends to process improvement and change management in the fast-paced academic medical environment. You excel in building relationships, negotiating, and influencing stakeholders across the enterprise. Your unique blend of proficiency in project management, effective stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, and expertise in process improvement positions you as a valuable asset to drive successful outcomes in our dynamic academic medical setting. A qualified candidate has PMP and Six Sigma certifications and experience working in an organization with Lean Management principles.
Duties include*:
Perform the full range of project management cycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing. Independently lead and direct projects requiring high levels of functional integration and involving multiple disciplines to be managed. This position will present strategic project proposals to leadership in the WellMD and WellPhD programs, initiating projects and report out efforts.Direct development of an action plan, and estimate requirements for resources, including management, labor, materials, and time required to complete project. Facilitate discussions and negotiations to drive recommendation consensus. Navigate complicated and unique situations across the Stanford Medicine Enterprise. Requires ability to think creatively in nuanced situations and lead discussion in real-time to favorable outcomes for all stakeholders.Develop and help execute comprehensive change management strategy and communication plan relative to project scope and stakeholders; orchestrate and lead change management methodologies underlying project success. Identify, engage with and create aligned plans with all levels of stakeholders for each unique project.Complete all components of project management including scope identification, stakeholder communication planning and management, risk-manage, control and report on risk associated with complicated projects, synthesize complex technical data and drive decisions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience. Experience in management of projects with extensive size/complexity and moderate performance risk, including project planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting.

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:Certificates in Project Management, Change Management or related area.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

The expected pay range for this position is $154,518 to $178,082 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
