This position is responsible for performing all Application Engineering functions; resolve jobsite engineering problems and provide technical assistance to rental centers and customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties as assigned by the Regional Engineer
Supervise teams of Application Engineering personnel as may be assign by the Regional Engineering Manager
Train District Technical Service Form Designers and Detailers Personnel in established corporate application engineering principles
Perform application engineering functions as required
Maintain compliance with corporate policies
Routinely visit job sites to increase knowledge of forming techniques
Resolve job site engineering problems
Assist Account Managers in sales efforts as requested
Provide technical assistance to rental centers and customers
Prepare engineering cost proposals as assigned by the Regional Engineering Manager
Attend classes/seminars to maintain professional competency
QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years working in construction or a related field
Five years working under the supervision of a registered Professional Engineer
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be a licensed Professional or Structural Engineer
(May be EIT with acceptable target date for examination)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering
Must be proficient with AutoCAD and other drafting software
Must be proficient in structural analysis software
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Two years as an engineering department supervisor for firm engaged in concrete formwork and shoring design
Knowledge of building codes and standards
