The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support of chemical products to Engineering, R&D, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and external customers.
Assist R&D with new product, VAVE and Quality Control evaluations and investigations through application trials and lab work.
Assist Training with the development of product training presentations on all chemical and cement products.
Assist Product Managers and Sales/Marketing with executing internal & external product training.
Develop and construct applied product samples for use as a sales tool.
Assist Product and Sales Manager's on specific projects as assigned.
Assist Technical Sales Representatives and Dealer Sales Managers with job site support and troubleshooting product issues.
Assist Product Managers/Marketing with the development of Technical Literature, labels and marketing brochures.
Provide back-up telephone support for Technical Sales Representatives
Assist Technical Sales Representatives and Market Development Analyst in product specification development
Build presence and actively participate in industry organizations
Attend industry organization events, conferences, conventions, etc to continue professional development
Operate and train others in equipment used for application of construction materials

Education and/or relevant experience:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred in engineering or business and/or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in concrete construction related industry
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, along with training and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk.
Maximum unassisted lift 80 lbs.
Requires ability to use a keyboard, monitor and calculator.
Requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone.
Travel required
Must be willing to travel throughout the geographical area in a car and/or air travel.
Must be capable of walking extensively on jobsites, in factories, and through distribution centers.

Shop and job site environment.
Personal protective equipment may be required in shop and on job sites including safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, steel toed shoes, and respirators.
