Why We Need You:
PEMCO has a dynamic and challenging opportunity for an Associate Information Security Engineer to join our community. In this role, you will be responsible for learning to provide basic technical and Information Security engineering support, working collaboratively with all technical support areas to ensure systems are supported consistent in maintaining security standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Provide basic Information Security support; work assigned issues, questions, or problems to resolution with support.
Support day-to-day information security program administration.
Partner with more senior Information Security engineers to ensure designs meet security standards; perform validation testing; contribute to design documentation and other project deliverables, as necessary.
Learn and support various technologies as a developing Information Security practitioner.
Engage in self-study and other research to become familiar with information security best practices.
Assist with deployment of secure new operating systems, applications, and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems to improve performance and reliability.
Assist more senior engineers, department manager, and stakeholders with defining business requirements and assist with applying appropriate security controls.
Assist in troubleshooting, forensic analysis, and investigations for security incidents.
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with PEMCO's policies, values, code of ethics and business conduct.

What You'll Bring:
Associates degree or equivalent work experience B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience
0-2 years of experience working in information technology roles including exposure to information security concepts is required.
Precision: Is detail orientated and has a strong desire for accuracy and thoroughness is required
Communicator: The ability to communicate clearly and informatively, verbally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and the community in both technical and non-technical professional language is required
MS Office: Skilled proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access is required.
Confidentiality: A high degree of integrity and the ability to exercise discretion in confidential situations is required
Problem Solver: Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve complex unstructured problems quickly, efficiently, and collaboratively is required.
Job specific: Skilled in troubleshooting desktop configuration and connectivity issues is required.

Compensation:
The pay range for this role is shown below. Compensation decisions are determined based on an individual’s qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Greater Seattle area target pay range: $75,633-$92,441. The full pay range is $63,027-$105,046.
Outside greater Seattle area target pay range: $66,748-$81,580. The full pay range is $55,623-$92,705.
Greater Seattle Area is defined as working within approximately 100 miles of Seattle.
Outside Greater Seattle is defined as working approximately 100 miles or more from Seattle.

PEMCO provides the following paid leave programs for benefits-eligible employees in their first year of PEMCO employment:
Vacation accrues at a rate of 10 days for new hires, and increases based on a schedule to a maximum annual accrual of 25 days based on tenure.
Granted four (4) personal days immediately upon hire.
Paid holidays for the eight (8) holidays observed by PEMCO throughout the calendar year.
Granted up to ten (10) days of sick leave immediately upon hire (pro-rated based on hire date and full-time/part-time status), which is approximately 28 hours more per year than the Washington state-required accrual.
In addition, PEMCO provides paid time off for bereavement, jury duty, and employee volunteering in the community.
