Pay Rate: $47,760 - $59,110/per year. Pay will be determined based on related work experience above required. To be considered in determining pay, all related work experience must be listed on the application.

Position Summary: The Internship Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, coordination, and administration of external internship programs. This role involves creating, managing, and expanding internship opportunities for students while establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with businesses, industry leaders, and other external organizations. A key aspect of this position will be developing and implementing a comprehensive system to house a centralized repository of all internship opportunities across the institution including internships across academic departments ensuring accessibility and effective tracking for students, faculty, and administrators.
Essential Functions:
20% Provides meaningful and structured internship opportunities for students including the development, implementation, and monitoring of program and activities. Seeks and works with current and recruits new business and industry partners for placement opportunities
20% Collects and maintains data from academic departments regarding internship opportunities and activities each semester including summer sessions. Trains faculty and staff on job board internship tracking capacities. Maintains database of all internship opportunities at the institution. Coordinate and facilitate selection of student placement with employers in collaboration with Academic Deans, Department Chairs, Community Partners, and the department of Workforce Development.
30% Will recruit, screen, interview, and select qualified students for internship experiences in addition to providing guidance and support to students seeking internship opportunities including applications assistance and interview preparation. Coordinate the supervision of student internship participants, and conduct on-site employer visits to monitor and evaluate student progress.
15% Develop and manage a centralized system for tracking and housing all internship opportunities across the institution. Providing data analysis on program outcomes.
10% Promotes internship opportunities to student body via Marketing and Communications department, faculty connections, internship fairs, and job board software. Maintain strong relationships with local workforce and economic development agencies to assess job market and learning and training needs to assist in the development of internship experiences.
5% Perform administrative duties related to data collection, compliance, evaluation, and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, education, or related field
4 years of full-time employment in relevant experience in higher education or related field required. Previous experience with Handshake job board software preferred.
Part-time work experience is calculated at 50% credit of full-time work experience.

Physical Demands: The employee must be able to communicate effectively including the ability to speak English clearly, hear, and see. The employee must be independently mobile, and must possess a valid Driver's License and be able to safely operate a vehicle. Manual dexterity and the ability to lift moderate weight - such as boxes of printed material - is required.
Hazards: Hazards associated with working in an office environment and driving a vehicle are expected. The employee may be exposed to a variety of workplace hazards when visiting partner sites.
