Job Title: Front Desk- Care Coordinator


Location: Altamonte Springs, FL


Contract: 3 months + possible contract extensions



Shift Timing: 8am-5pm Mon- Fri



Description:


Administrative support for clinic, process referrals for Medicare Advantage plan and FFS plan patients, back support for front office with checking in patients.



candidate will be working with 2 Physicians, 2 MA?s, 2 Front Desk, 1 Clinic Nurse, 1 Care Managers, 2 Care Coordinator



Responsibilities :

  • Greets patients as they arrive and manages 20-minute wait time.
  • Assists patient with intake processes including copying required documents.
  • Assist with coordination and processing of all patient referrals for specialty services.
  • Enter all referral, hospital, outpatient, DME and other patient specialty health service authorizations into the computer system according to Company policy and procedure.
  • Receives consultant reports, maintains documentation, and routes to the appropriate physician promptly.
  • Answers phones and schedules appointments.
  • Completes all administrative functions associated with referral activities in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed in timely manner.
  • 11. Performs all other related duties as assigned.



Healthcare background, preferably primary care and experience with processing referrals, experience with Medicare Advantage insurance plans, great customer service.




What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill)?

  • One to two years of related work experience including data entry.
  • Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology.
  • Ability to accurately sort and file materials by alphabetic or numeric systems.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills required.
  • Ability to multitask, effective time-management, and organization.



What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart)?

  • 2+ years of customer service
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Experience with eCW (EMR system)
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking
