We are seeking a Controls Engineer to design, build, and install equipment for our global plants. Our portfolio includes ASRS systems, automated conveyors, pallet elevators, stackers/destackers, pallet turntables, automatic labelers, shipping trailers, and build line integration.
Responsibilities:
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and protocols (e.g., safety harnesses, fork trucks, scissor lifts, boom lifts, LOTO).
Foster mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
Communicate effectively across cross-functional groups.
Manage projects from technical specification to startup support.
Design and develop electrical control systems, equipment, and programming using company standards and innovative ideas.
Write, implement, and debug PLC software.
Provide support for existing automated equipment globally.
Develop predictive maintenance indicators to increase reliability and reduce downtime (CBM, Industry 4.0).
Create contingency and disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering.
Minimum of three years' experience in a controls engineering role at an automation/machine build shop.
Self-starter, team player, with a positive attitude.
Creative thinker, results-oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy.
Expertise in RSLogix5000, Studio5000, and FactoryTalk View Studio.
Knowledge of I/O link, AB components, drive control, and Keyence cameras.
Ability to read and create electrical drawings in AutoCAD.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
Understanding and communication of applicable safety standards: general industry, machine guarding, robot safety, automated vehicles, conveyor safety.
Willingness to work long hours during installations, if required.
