Overview
An Area Manager at Velociti Services will ensure that the contractual cleaning requirements are met to client’s satisfaction and within budgetary limit and is responsible for the cleaning operations of an assigned group of client accounts.
Expected work schedule: Friday - Tuesday 8:30 pm - 6am (off on Wednesdays and Thursdays) This is a salaried position. Schedule is aproximate.
Responsibilities
Duties / Responsibilities:
Train and manage employees and vendors to ensure all client processes, procedures, guidelines, regulations, and expectations are adhered to as efficiently as possible
Serve as liaison between clients and Velociti Services departments / divisions
Actively promote OTJ work and ensure the process is completed through to invoicing and payment
Ensure site has consumables and working equipment needed to perform cleaning tasks
Examine work completion in accordance with contract deliverables
Monitor quality control throughout assigned facilities
Sustain focus on safety through onsite observations and/or inspections
Other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
Required Skills / Abilities:
Valid driver’s license
High School or GED
Knowledge of custodial/commercial cleaning
Janitorial industry knowledge preferred
Ability to manage multiple locations
3 years of customer service experience
PC literate – understanding of how to use technology as a tool
Ability to communicate with all levels within a client’s management structure
Good team player and manager
Exudes credibility and be able to influence
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
An eye for detail
The ability to work well both as part of a team and on your own
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

Physical Requirements
Applicants for this role must be able to:
Lift boxes and packages weighing up to 60 pounds
Lift, bend, squat, and stretch to move boxes, parcels, and shipments
Climb small to medium flights of stairs multiple times a day
Standing for extended periods of time
Working conditions may consist of extreme exposure to heat/cold weather conditions, involving both indoor and outdoor tasks
Occasional exposure to hazardous environments and conditions might be experienced
