We’re presenting an exciting opportunity for a Vendor Operations Specialist, in Milwaukee WI. The Vendor Operations Specialist will play a key role in driving success for NBF’s vendor community and merchandising team, ensuring projects meet their goals and deliverables with impact. Acting as a liaison between the Merchandising Team and our vendors, this person will lead efforts in communication, governance, and compliance to fuel seamless collaboration and meaningful results.
Here’s a General Overview of What You’ll be Doing:
Facilitate and maintain current & accurate vendor information, agreements, discounts/pricing, freight terms, rebates/allowances/coops and other performance metrics and measurements.
Ensure vendor completion of government, legal, and corporate compliance activities.
Support Merchants with onboarding and offboarding of vendors.
Manage Vendor Relations communication channels and providing high levels of support / prompt action to incoming and outbound vendor communications.
“Ownership” of Vendor Scorecards, related reports, and vendor allowance reconciliations.
Create and maintain Vendor processes and templates in DocuSign, Mailchimp and other tools.
Maintain and enhance Vendor Handbook, NBF Contacts, Fee Schedules and other compliance documents.
Manage Merchandising Team Monday Project Boards to ensure projects are well established, communicated, and deadlines are being met.
Drive project deliverables with Merchandising team members, and other key stakeholders, supporting strategic initiatives to facilitate Order Intake and Gross Margin
Review project status with Merchandising team members to remove roadblocks and facilitate completions.
Ensure Vendors have, and are following, product content guidelines for all channels, ensuring newly created assets follow NBF’s asset standards for optimal customer experience.
Support leadership team members in planning and executing Supplier Days annual event, Regional/National Sales meetings, and vendor visits.
Support leadership team members in creating a plan and itinerary for Tradeshows (NeoCon, HP Market, EdSpaces, etc).
Direct vendor price change intake to the appropriate category management team members and provides them with the necessary details needed to complete the task.
Maintain Vendor Matrix and ensures all associated vendor documents and certifications are up to date.
Facilitate IT system changes needed to capture Vendor information and certifications.
Support NBF sales and design team with ensuring customer, sales, and service support materials are readily available for applicable products and vendors (CET, Swatches, Sell sheets)
What We’re Looking For:
2-3 years of experience in vendor management, category management, buying, purchasing, planning, sales or sales support roles
Experience summarizing information into clear reports and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
Related work experience in data or databases (PIM)
Nice to Have:
Experience with PM software, such as Monday
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Merchandising, or other related fields
Experience negotiating contracts and terms and conditions with internal and external parties
Project Management certifications (like PMP or CAPM)
Prior roles focused on Business Relationships and Development
