Senior Manager, Leave and Accommodations Management
Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of HR Operations, the Senior Manager, Leave and Accommodation Management is responsible for driving the operational strategy and overseeing the effective execution of Genuine Parts Company's (GPC) leave, accommodation, and benefit administration programs. This leader will oversee, lead, and develop a team of leave and benefit administration professions, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws and GPC policies. The individual in this role will also be responsible for managing vendor relationships and partnering with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the team is driving a world-class employee experience in alignment with GPC's overall mission.
Leave of Absence, Accommodations, and Disability Responsibilities
Oversee the administration of leave programs, including FMLA, state leave laws, and local leave laws.
Oversee the application and administration of company sponsored short-term disability (STD), and long-term disability (LTD) programs in alignment with GPC company policy.
Implement and manage the workplace accommodations process in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Monitor and manage operational performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the organization is compliant, accurate, timely, and effective. Provide regular updates on key metrics.
Oversee regular audits to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead demand management to ensure adequate staffing coverage to meet organizational needs.
Act as a senior point of contact for leave and disability cases to ensure accurate and timely resolution of escalations.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory trends to ensure maximum program effectiveness.
Work closely with relevant stakeholders, including Legal, HR, and external vendors to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Company policy.
Team Leadership and Development
Set clear performance expectations, monitor progress, and conduct regular feedback sessions to ensure accountability through a performance-driven culture that aligns with organizational goals.
Lead and manage the Leave and Benefits Administration team, providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Ten or more (10+) years of progressive experience in leave and benefits administration.
Strong expertise in the most current relevant regulations and Company policy (FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, SDI, Workers' Comp) and industry best practices.
Proactive problem-solving skills to identify risks and mitigate them in advance.
Proven experience leading multiple teams and fostering a collaborative work environment in a culture of accountability.
Clear and concise communication skills, with the proven ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated strategic-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable strategies.
Experience with relevant HRIS technologies (e.g. Workday, ServiceNow)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

This job is located out of GPC's global headquarters. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment.
