The Vice President, Talent, Life Sciences will make a significant contribution to drive effective leadership, talent development and talent attraction programs across the Life Sciences platform. In this position you will provide strategic partnership to design and implement effective talent development, attraction programs and solutions. The incumbent will ensure programs are designed to address unique platform needs, elevate skills, drive growth, and reinforce employee engagement and performance. They will enhance the overall associate experience by driving the evolution and adoption of modern development opportunities and drive best practices leveraging DBS tools and systems. In partnership with the VP, HR, Life Sciences and other Executive Leaders they will help to evolve the strategic development and attraction agenda.
The Opportunity
The VP, Talent, Life Sciences will operate across the Life Sciences Platform and be accountable for driving the identification of current and future talent needs and trends and in the design of platform solutions. In addition, the VP, Talent will lead communication, messaging, and training related to talent programs across the Life Sciences businesses in close partnership with the VP, HR, Life Sciences and Talent Management and Human Resources leaders across the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Know the Business, State of Talent, and the External Environment:

Lead the talent strategy of the platform driving culture, high performance, engagement, advancement in diversity, equity and inclusion, talent management and talent acquisition in partnership with corporate functional leadership and team.
·
Partner with SMEs to support the design and change management process needed for significant org changes in platform and large Opco structures that is scalable for future growth.
·
Support the Danaher Talent Acquisition team to develop a robust and proactive recruitment strategy that will ensure a pipeline of diverse and qualified candidates for positions across the platform.
·
Drive Danaher and Platform purpose with strong business acumen and next gen talent management thought leadership.
·
As a senior member of the Talent Management team, support Danaher-wide project teams on initiatives that meet both Platform and enterprise-wide talent needs to leverage resources and address common challenges. This role provides a unique opportunity to reimagine Talent processes along with the broader corporate team using the Danaher Business System (DBS).
·
Establish strong eminence and understanding of external environment to identify evolving trends and research related to evolving work, workforce, and workplace shifts.
·
Proactively use One Model to gain insights around the biggest talent problems to solve in the platform and OpCo. Leverage data to understand movement/progress/trends of talent in critical funnels.
·
Deep talent expertise in critical markets that are important to Life Sciences.
Design and Execute Relevant and Business-Focused Solutions:
·
Design & develop talent strategic solutions / mechanisms that support the platform business priorities, particularly needs that arise from the strategy planning process and organization design, strategy, and talent discussions. Platform solutions should be created and designed in alignment to the Talent Management philosophy, programs, and processes.
·
Collaborate across OpCo, Regional, Platform, and Corporate teams to define common, unique needs and bring in leading best practices to address the needs.
·
Deploy key learning solutions at the Corporate, Platform, Regional,
OpCo
and Functional: design, facilitate, coach.
Manage and Execute Platform and Danaher Talent Processes:
·
Lead and manage roll-up of talent data and analysis for Platform and Corporate leader review.
·
Use DBS to measure impact, problem-solve, and design, launch and sustain local solutions, where appropriate, that meet unique Platform business needs.
·
Drive rigorous daily management on Talent Management processes.
·
Champion diversity and inclusion through all talent discussions, standard work, programs, and solutions.
·
Work with platform/OpCo teams to establish Platform and OpCo Pipeline Growth rooms (visual and daily management) to track succession yield, key talent readiness and progression.
·
Manage the internal recruiting, Danaher Go, and chessboarding processes at platform, with a critical eye on candidate care.
·
Work alongside and coach members of the OpCo HR community, including OpCo Talent Leaders to understand and embed platform and Danaher talent philosophy, processes, and tools.
·
Manage the platform Supply & Demand Discussions and track outcomes.
·
Represent the Platform and its needs and perspective in the Danaher Talent Council. Manage Platform Talent Council to ensure communication, best practice sharing, productive challenge and data/input gathering to share with Corporate Talent Management.

Qualifications and Experience
·
BA/BS in related field; an MBA or Master's degree in Organizational Psychology or Organizational Behavior (preferred)
·
20+ years in Human Resources with 10+ years in Talent Management (can include L&D, DE&I)
·
5+ years in a leadership position
·
Advanced knowledge of workforce planning, organization design and structures, change management, succession planning, leadership development, and project management.
·
First-hand knowledge and experience with data-driven decision-making to facilitate impactful advancements.

The salary range for this role is $270,000 to $300,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
