Our client, a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering firm, is looking for a Civil Designer to join their growing team and be responsible for developing detailed site improvement drawings, maps and other drafting documentation using the latest standards. They will work in a collaborative team under direct supervision of a licensed engineer to complete both residential and commercial projects for a variety of clients. This is a long-term, direct hire position in Vancouver, WA.
Pay range: $72K - $85K annually DOE

Responsibilities:
Creating construction plans and sketches, either from initial rough designs or detailed instructions, and making any necessary revisions
Producing precise construction drawings for civil engineering projects and site enhancements
Gathering and integrating data, including topographical and geological studies, into drafting documents like drawings and maps
Revising drawings based on various inputs such as field notes, red lines, and mark ups, while ensuring accuracy through data verification and quality control processes
Accessing current regulatory data from different sources to confirm that drawings are updated with the latest industry standards
Offering additional engineering assistance as required, always under the direct oversight of a certified civil engineer
Organizing and managing project-related drawing files, records, and documentation, while adhering to schedules and meeting project deadlines
Collaborate with project partners
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program required
2+ years of civil engineering design experience required, 3+ years' experience preferred
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D required
EIT Required
Experience with residential subdivision land development preferred
Experience with stormwater modeling and hydrology modeling software preferred
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels
Excels in advanced thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
