The Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of otology/neurotology. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Fellowship training in neurotology is highly preferred. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
Teaching responsibilities may include medical student, resident, and fellow education, as well as formal lecture opportunities.
Clinical responsibilities may include the medical and surgical treatment of patients with otologic/neurologic and skull base disorders. The clinical practice location would be at a Penn affiliated institution and the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center of Philadelphia (VAMC) with research and future clinical opportunities at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include a strong interest in developing a clinical and translational research program suitable for external funding in the area of otology/neurotology.
