Description:
The College of Arts & Sciences at Winthrop University seeks part-time (adjunct) instructors. Successful candidates must have a Master's degree and a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline to be taught, be eligible to work in the United States, and successfully clear a background check. Previous teaching experience at the university level is strongly preferred. A variety of teaching schedules are available, including evening, hybrid, and online courses. Pay depends upon qualifications.
Below is a list of disciplines within the College of Arts & Sciences. Please note that Business courses (including Economics) and Education courses (including Counseling) are managed and delivered through other colleges. The College of Arts & Sciences does hire teacher education supervisors for the following programs, however: Social Studies education, Math education, English education, and Science education.
Employment Conditions: A part-time, temporary position. Salary is dependent on academic qualifications and the number of courses to be taught.
