Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - faculty positions within the university that are not tenure track and not eligible for tenure; on a fixed term contract. Persons with the title of professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical, assistant professor-clinical and instructor-clinical. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty department and, as appropriate, regional campus; Clinical faculty are teacher/practitioners and will be engaged primarily in teaching activities. These faculty normally have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field or equivalent experience.
The Ohio State University College of Dentistry (OSUCOD) and Nationwide Children's Hospital (NCH) seek applications for a full-time clinical track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor for the Division of Pediatric Dentistry at OSUCOD and the Department of Dentistry at NCH. Responsibilities will include didactic teaching and clinical instruction and supervision of residents as well as dental and dental hygiene students in all sites of patient care. This candidate will also provide direct patient care in a hospital-based practice, participate in scholarly activity, and rotate on-call duties with other full-time faculty. Other duties include contributing to the overall mission of the division and department participating in university, college, and hospital governance and providing support to the college's continuing education programs.

NCH is the second largest pediatric hospital in the United States. Its Department of Dentistry, with Sections of Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, provides the full range of dental and ancillary services in a 30-chair dental clinic that is complemented by dedicated dental surgery operating rooms, all of which utilize Epic Wisdom and digital radiography. The Department sees a high volume of patients for ambulatory clinic visits, dental surgeries, sedations, emergency department visits, and provides care for inpatients. The pediatric dentistry residency training program is CODA-approved for 20 residents with NCH serving as the primary clinical training site.
Applicants must have a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent, a certificate from a CODA-
accredited advanced education program in pediatric dentistry, and be a candidate for board certification by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Applicants must also possess the
qualifications required to obtain an Ohio dental license and sedation permit, to be credentialed at the OSUCOD, and to obtain a medical staff appointment at NCH.
