Job Role Summary
The Financial Systems Analyst assists with implementation of S/4 HANA for all functions related to FI/CO, assets, AP and funds management, and provides ongoing support for these systems after go-live. This position works with the business owners to create and change configuration as needed. The Financial Systems Analyst works closely with ABAP to create, test and move reports to production. This position works with Security to make sure the roles created for Finance meet the needs of all users. The Financial Systems Analyst is/becomes proficient in Fiori.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Develops and documents programming standards and procedures
Works with end users to gather requirements and to get a full understanding of user requests
Works with technical team on problem analysis and issue resolution
Designs, develops and tests documents
Implements SAP WRICEF solutions
Communicates with other Information Services staff and management regarding all technical aspects of data resources
Documents system specific processes and operational concerns as directed by management
Prepares and submits regular status reports to the SAP Manager
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred
Eight years of accounting experience may be accepted in lieu of bachelor's degree
Hospital accounting experience is strongly preferred
Hands on experience with at least one full life cycle ERP implementation, or enhancing an ERP system
Experience configuring accounting touch points with other modules, including cost accounting and materials management
Knowledge of SAP Finance modules: FI, FI Special Ledger, CO, and Funds Management
Understanding of and experience working with business processes and interrelationships including system design, system analysis, system standards, system testing and programming
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of hospital accounting, auditing, and financial reporting
Ability to identify opportunities to enhance and expand services, and raise level of awareness regarding participants of SAP ERP system
Working knowledge of business processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, closing processes and the technology that supports these processes
Ability to drive business requirements and business process design sessions; ability to work with the business units of a medium to large healthcare organization
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to solve problems
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving environment
