ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be working in the Department of Neurology Stroke Division as an academically oriented Assistant Professor Neurologist. Will be responsible for providing medical care and health counseling. This position will also conduct health seminars , providing health consultative services. This position will include opportunities for medical student ,resident and Fellow teaching.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide clinical support in the Stroke division. Provide medical care including outpatient and inpatient care, examinations, diagnosis, and treatment. Prepare medical records and correspondence relating to patient care. Monitor and track patient progress, adjust treatments when necessary.

Work alongside the Stroke director, colleges and research team on the Stroke clinical trials.

Other duties as assigned by chair

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
