POSITION SUMMARY:

The Department of OB/GYN at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a Instructor to join the growing Gynecologic Subspecialties division.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

CLINICAL DUTIES:

Provide Gynecologic care.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

Close encounters timely, follow up with patient requests.

OTHER DUTIES:

Professional development and service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:

Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university.

Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities.

Responsible for academic advising and related activities.

May represent the university, college/school, or department.

Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64, or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64.Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in .

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties.

Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.

Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, service, and related activities. May be responsible for research and/or academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees.

PREFERRED:
New graduates will be considered for employment after certification and licensure.

Candidates with experience are preferred, especially experience in full scope practice and tertiary level care (Level III birth unit and nursery). A broad range of experience with outpatient women's health, family planning, prenatal and postpartum care along with inpatient prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care is preferred.
