JOB SUMMARY

The Department of OB/GYN at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a Instructor to join the growing Gynecologic
Subspecialties division.

CLINICAL DUTIES

• Provide gynecologic care in an outpatient setting
• Provide routine annual gynecologic care
• Provide specialized urogynecolog y care to women with pelvic floor disorders
• Provide preoperative counseling and postoperative care to women undergoing surgery for pelvic floor disorders
• Perform procedures as indicated, including but not limited to pessary fitting and management, endometrial biopsy, intrauterine device placement, urodynamic testing, percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation, voiding trials
• Work collaboratively with members of the care team, including medical assistants, registered nurses, fellows, residents, and physicians, to provide patient care
• Provide specialized care to women with severe obstetric lacerations and postpartum pelvic floor disorders

• Close encounters in a timely fashion
• Follow up with patient messages and requests
• Follow-up lab results
• Follow-up imaging results
• Counsel patients with pre- and postoperative concerns
• Participate in the development and maintenance of division policies and procedures

• Professional development and service
• Participate in clinical research endeavors of the division

• Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university.
• Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities.
• Responsible for academic advising and related activities.
• May represent the university, college/school, or department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64, or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64.
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties.
Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.

PREFERRED:
New graduates will be considered for employment after certification and licensure.
Candidates with experience are preferred, especially experience in full scope practice.
