We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Quality Manager for our Operations Americas business reporting to ouroffice in Houston, TX. Working closely with the Americas HSEQ Vice-President and drawing on the resources of the global Wood quality community, your main focus will be to provide corporate governance and Quality support to the region. You will be working closely with the Americas Regional Leadership team specifically the Operational Senior Vice-Presidents to deliver both regional operational requirements and global Wood requirements.
You will be a motivated self-starter who is capable of leading the region in their quest for Quality Excellence. You will be able to work autonomously and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
Establish structure for governing quality delivery in Americas business
Ensure effective management of quality risk
Ensure effective assurance (including reporting) of Americas management system performance
Embed and support delivery of the global quality objectives
Drive improved visibility of quality and the value it brings to the business
Management of Americas corporate quality resource(s)
Ensure effective deployment of quality systems
Support delivery of Americas stakeholder communication plan through regular interface with leadership
Support delivery of Americas quality tenders as required
Facilitate and manage 3rd party certification arrangements and subsequent actions
Ensure Quality network is established to manage risk and share learning
Provide independent review and where required investigation of major quality and technical incidents
Provide operational support to key contracts as agreed with senior management
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 15 years within a relevant industry with demonstrated experience working in a corporate role with experience across all facets of Quality delivery.
Degree in Quality management or relevant discipline (desirable)
Membership of CQI or country specific Industry body (desirable)
Quality Auditor Qualification by recognized industry body (essential)
Extensive experience in a relevant industry
Previous Experience as a Quality manager for a large contract with multiple sites or a regional Quality management position
Good planning and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
Analytical, Problems Solving skills and Systematic thinking
