Job Summary
The Sr Human Resources Business Partner will play a pivotal role in driving HR initiatives and supporting the overall business strategy. Based at the Murphy Corporate Headquarters in Houston, Texas, this position will be integral in partnering with various business functions to deliver comprehensive HR support. The Sr HRBP will report to the Human Resources Manager and will be responsible for aligning HR practices with business goals to foster a high-performance culture.
The Sr HR Business Partner will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remotely.
Responsibilities
Supports HR functions including compensation, benefits, talent management, payroll, compliance, training, development, and people operations.
Coordinate and assist with the launch of HR programs and processes
Compile, prepare, and analyze data for Human Resources reports
Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding
Assist with presentations and communication materials for Human Resources updates
Coordinate internal training and external events as needed
Provide support for general administrative tasks within the Human Resources department
Provide and suggest ongoing improvement with HR initiatives and processes
Maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
Minimum 7 years' experience in Human Resources managing exempt-level personnel and positions
Strong skills using Microsoft Office
Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks while ensuring all deadlines are met
The individual is required to follow all applicable safety precautions. Work is performed almost entirely in a controlled (i.e., inside) environment and does not typically subject the incumbent to any hazardous/extreme elements; some positions may require regularly moving or transporting items weighing up to 25 lbs. around the office for various needs. The successful candidate must be able to complete all essential physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
