Position Summary:
The Diversified Assets Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the credit union's portfolio of substandard commercial loans and participations. This role involves analyzing and assessing the performance of diverse asset classes, developing strategic initiatives to mitigate losses, enhance revenue, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The Manager will work directly with members of Senior and Executive Management and requires considerable independent judgment and initiative.
Essential Functions:
Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's short-term and long-term goals, contributing to overall growth and profitability.
Lead the financial planning & analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support decision-making processes and resource allocation.
To work with the CEO to manage fundraising activities, including securing investment, debt financing, and capital structuring to support the company's growth plans.
Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Job Duties:
Loan Management: Review, analyze, and manage non-performing loans and other high-risk assets.
Negotiation: Negotiate restructuring and repayment plans with borrowers.
Communication: Providing regular updates to USDA, SBA, and the Board of Directors.
Policy Development: Develop and implement loan collection policies and procedures.
Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of the special assets portfolio.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on the status and performance of special assets.
Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with the bank's policies and relevant regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as legal, credit, and guarantying entity to resolve issues related to special assets.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Bachelors degree required in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in loan management, credit analysis as well as guaranteed lending workouts
Financial Acumen
Strong communication and negotiating skills
Strong analytical skills
Attention to details
In-depth knowledge of state and federal finance laws and bank policies
