PKL Services Inc. is contracted to maintain and operate Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) F-15SG and United States Air Force (USAF) F-15E aircraft and equipment assigned to the 366th Fighter Wing located at Mountain Home AFB (MHAFB), Idaho. PKL employees at this site are subject to a Union/Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) regarding employment terms and work rules.
The Aircraft Phase Technician, (may also be called a crew chief) is responsible for on-equipment maintenance of F-15SG aircraft in the areas of servicing, pre-flight, post-flight, and phase inspections. Maintenance of pneudraulic systems, secondary power systems, and other areas of the aircraft as required. This mechanic may also perform end-of-runway inspections/ checks as required.
Other key responsibilities include:
Perform required F-15SG maintenance, ground handling and servicing.
Perform basic pre-flight, post- flight, thru-flight, phase, acceptance, transfer & special inspections; Launch and recovery of aircraft; EOR operations; quick turns of aircraft.
Hot Pit refueling operations, maintenance ground tests, corrosion control, wash, lubrication, maintenance, and modification of aircraft and equipment.
Troubleshoots and maintains aircraft hydraulic, and other related systems, structures, components, and related equipment.
Remove/install and perform rigging and operational checks of variable ramp assemblies, to include first, second, third, and diffuser ramps; Jet Fuel Starter (JFS) cables and control handles; brake control cable/linkages; and nose wheel steering cable/linkages.
Remove and replace F-15SG aircraft parts and accessories/components with the demonstrated skill to adjust and settings according to established specifications.
Troubleshoot, rig, remove and replace flight control surfaces/systems, landing gears, actuated doors, and associated equipment.
Inspect and check components for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation.
Proper use of hand tools and test equipment, as required.
Inspect/operate powered and nonpowered aerospace ground equipment.
Review maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports to insure complete documentation.
Perform duties as defined by applicable Air Force Instructions (AFIs), along with any USAF like functions typically performed within their associated career field. Any and all other duties as directed by the Program Manager/Site Manager.

High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be authorized to work in the United States.Qualified/certified 7-level Crew Chief with a minimum of six (6) years F-15 experience.Capable of operating support equipment.Be able to use electronic tech data (e-tools).Knowledge of Air Force instructions, manuals and maintenance publications. Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing. May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers. Work may be performed on top or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions, including the F-15 cockpit. Normal color/depth perception and no record of emotional instability are required. May be required to work in areas in or near a hangar/ flight line that may be noisy at times. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment when in or passing thru a hazardous area. Office environment, hangar and flightline The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud at times.
