Job Description:

Overhead Door Company of Kansas City™, a DH Pace Company, Inc. is hiring a Residential Job Checker. The position is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, have a good work ethic, and strong customer service skills wanting to get started with a growing company where there are many opportunities for growth.


Job Responsibilities:



  • Develop and cultivate new relationships with builders

  • Interact with new construction builders and strive to accommodate their demands

  • Communicate additional needs or actions to customers and internal staff to minimize job disruptions

  • Utilize technology to send in required forms and photos of sites for scheduling purposes

  • Check descriptions of work to be completed, evaluate readiness or check to see if jobs are completed or if it is a continuing ticket and a technician needs to return to the jobsite

  • Develop a keen understanding of the install process to help evaluate readiness

  • Oversee operational activities, to include, but not limited to: establish and enforce customer service standards and expectations, realize profitability on jobs performed, and follow through on all administrative tasks. 

  • Other duties assigned


JOB REQUIREMENTS:



  • High school diploma or GED

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Must have an outgoing personality and a natural affinity for taking care of customers

  • References must be able to tell us that you have an outstanding work ethic, are highly reliable, self-motivated and goal oriented with a drive to be successful

  • Must have good time management skills, be organized and have the ability to multi-task


  • Valid Driver’s License required
