DESCRIPTION
The Michael Baker Cary office has experienced significant growth in recent years. In addition, Michael Baker is expanding its national bridge practice. To support this growth, the Cary office is seeking a Bridge Department Manager. This role will focus on completing technical work, mentoring junior staff, and driving the overall growth of the Bridge Department. The ideal candidate will be a leader who collaborates with office and regional counterparts to deliver high-quality engineering services across the country. You will have the opportunity to contribute to business strategy, work with project teams, and help expand our project portfolio and client base.
Bridge Department Manager - Will be responsible for technical oversight, staff development, contract management, technical and cost proposal development, project performance and client management for targeted statewide clients. Lead the Bridge Group by providing team management and oversight for Bridge Design and Bridge Inspection. Assistance in the development of proposals and Expressions of Interest for our primary clients and partners. Participation in industry Society functions is also encouraged.
You will bring to bear your engineering knowledge and skills to manage the preparation of engineering plans, calculations, and reports, technical specifications, and construction estimates and schedules. You will have the opportunity to instruct and guide junior engineers in the development of engineering reports and analyses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The salary range for this position is approximately $160,000 to $200,000. Please note that the actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, qualifications, experience, abilities, and physical work location
