The Plant Manager is responsible for leading a cross-functional manufacturing team to achieve the required operating results and corporate initiatives. Responsibility includes P&L, organizational and regulatory compliance and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and delivery to satisfy customer expectations.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Drive results for plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including safety, quality, cost, delivery, employee retention, training, compliance, launch, etc.
  • Own plant P&L, budgets, forecasts and development and implementation of strategy
  • In collaboration with Company leadership, develop and implement initiatives to create and sustain an energized and engaged workforce
  • Drive utilization of problem-solving methods for facility and customer problems/issues
  • Manage capital authorization and expenditures
  • Maintain quality and productivity levels by applying and monitoring organizational and customer standards of quality control, regulatory compliance and safety standards
  • Oversee maintenance of buildings and equipment and plant security and protection
  • Lead by example to practice safe work behaviors and hold Plant Staff and all employees accountable for the same
  • Manage product launch and program management at the location level
  • Drive the identification, selection, and prioritization of projects with an emphasis on those that have breakthrough potential
  • Develop budgets and approve expenditures
  • Analyze production, quality control, maintenance and other related functions to correct and improve processes
  • Initiate and lead CI programs and cost control efforts
  • Accountable for overall workforce training and safety procedures
  • Formulate policies and practices to manage and plan daily use of materials and human resources
  • Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned


Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in Engineering, Production or Supply Chain
  • Minimum eight (8) years of people leadership and leading cross-functional teams, preferably in automotive related industry
  • Leadership in a TPM environment is a plus
  • Experience with direct responsibility for P&L exceeding $50M and development and management of an operational budget and long-range plans
  • Experience in product launch(s) and/or demonstrated high-level project management role(s)
  • Experience with ISO and IATF standards and audit processes
  • Experience with manufacturing automation
