POSITION SUMMARY

Monarch Paving is looking for a Maintenance Shop Assistant to perform general maintenance tasks which may include but are not limited to:

  • Shop upkeep and site maintenance
  • Snow/Ice removal
  • Conduct oil changes
  • Assist Mechanics with repairs
  • Pick up and deliver parts to Monarch Shop or jobsite
  • Inventory, sort and organize parts and supplies
  • Operating forklift
  • Other tasks as needed

On the job training will provide the knowledge and skills to become a productive member of our team, with the potential for advancement opportunities. This position is full-time seasonal, working April through November, but provides year-round benefits. This position requires working overtime and some weekends.

Position Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Able to obtain Fed Med Card and CDL
  • Physically fit to perform the job functions including the ability to stand, squat, bend, lift, and walk for long durations
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Ability to listen and take direction
  • Willingness to be a team player but also able to work independently
