Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Aircraft Painter to join our team in Jacksonville, FL.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Coat surfaces of aircraft with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices, removes old paint from aircraft, using liquid paint remover and scraper.
  • Remove coatings with Plastic media, sandpaper, and steel wool, roughens aluminum and composite surfaces with acid/solvent solution and abrasive pads to insure that coatings are removed from surface.
  • Smooth surface with sandpaper and steel wool, roughens aluminum and composite surfaces with acid/solvent solution and steel wool to insure that paint adheres to surface,
  • Mask and cover portions of surfaces not to be painted or Media blasted, and paint insignia, letters or numerals on aircraft surface, using stencils.
  • Search and read the specifications in DPS engineering drawings.


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 6 Months of experience painting aircraft parts or plastic media blasting.
  • 6 Months of experience removing coatings, sanding, taping, mixing material.
  • Ability to work a variable shift.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience working on military and commercial platforms
  • 1+ years of experience working with hazardous chemicals


Typical Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED and typically 6+ months related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area (San Antonio, TX) or relocate at their own expense.

Summary Pay Range $52,562 - $63,310 Annually
