About the job:
Salary Range: $55,000- $65,000
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7:00a-3:00p (can be flexible)
Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Graduate of trade or vocational school, with courses in blueprint reading, mechanical drawing, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC equipment, refrigeration and electricity preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years full-time experience in construction or maintenance of equipment, utilities and buildings preferred.
Knowledge of state building, plumbing and electrical codes and ordinances.
Knowledge of basic machinery and tools.
Ability to operate lawn and yard equipment.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Must be able to read, write and understand English.
Boiler's license (1st class and above) where applicable.
Knowledge and ability in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, plastering and painting.
Must have basic technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment and possess a basic knowledge of construction principles.
Preferred Skills:
Minimum of three (3) years full-time experience in construction or maintenance of equipment, utilities and buildings preferred.
Essentials:
Develops and reviews Maintenance policies and procedures on an annual basis.
Plans, schedules, supervises, delegates and participates in maintenance and repair work, including, but not limited to, masonry, carpentry, painting, gardening, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning and heating; monitors staff for completion of work on a timely basis.
Performs Preventative Maintenance
Administers personnel functions of Maintenance Department.
Assists and/or assigns staff to move/transfer residents within, into and out of facility.
Performs other duties as assigned by Residence Director.
Participates in committees as assigned.
Attends required in-services and completes assigned online modules.
