Duties and Responsibilities | The Department of Communications seeks an outstanding individual with exceptional teaching and research in all disciplines of communications including, and not restricted to, oral communications, public speaking, and human communications. The successful candidate will teach a minimum of four communications courses per semester; draft comprehensive syllabi; create assessment tools to evaluate student academic performance; work closely with speech communications adjunct faculty; maintain accurate attendance and grade reports; provide academic advisement to communications students; serve on Department, College, and University committees; participate in Department, College, and University programs, ceremonies, and special events, and other duties as assigned. |

Experience | The successful candidate must provide evidence of successful teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. |
Education | The successful candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Communications. |
Knowledge Skills and Abilities | The successful candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to develop and teach courses in oral communications; public speaking; communications theory courses, and other undergraduate and/or graduate communications courses as needed. The successful candidate must be able to integrate multimedia technology into their teaching. A demonstrated ability to develop and execute high-quality communications research is desired. |
