Duties and Responsibilities | Provides instruction for both undergraduate and graduate business courses in the area of accounting; contributes to growing scholarly activities in the College of Business and University governance through participation in different committees. |
Conditions of Employment | This position is an open rank, tenure-track. Offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of due diligence background check and verification of credentials. Experience | Experience teaching a variety of accounting courses required. |
Education | Ph.D. in Accounting required. Ph.D. from an AACSB or ACBSP accredited institution preferred. |
Knowledge Skills and Abilities | Must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, services, and technology application in the classroom; effective communication skills are essential; demonstrated current success in grantsmanship preferred. Candidates are expected to show excellence in or good potential of teaching, scholarly research, and service/community service. Candidates take leadership roles in developing new innovative Accounting programs, promoting research environment within the Department, mentoring or training our students to be Accounting professional license holders, and serving community (e.g. Voluntary Income Tax Assistance -VITA). Supporting the University’s and the college of Business strategic plans, which include partnership with community to enhance the social, economic, and cultural conditions of the community and beyond, is highly regarded. |
