The Senior Business Relationship Manager (BRM) develops and maintains a long-term partnership with one or more key business lines for functional executives to strategically apply technology solutions to their business needs. This position must understand the business strategy, organization, function, goals and objectives of our Client. The Senior BRM has an in-depth understanding of the client's business, and serves as an effective point of contact and technology resource for the business line or functional head. Using analytical ability to identify solutions, the Senior BRM will identify, pursue and influence opportunities to use technology to help the business partners reduce costs, improve service and address business risks. Using their broad industry knowledge and understanding of technology-related trends, the Senior BRM assists Business partners to define a long-term value-focused business strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
The Senior BRM will work to increase the organizational change management competency within the business user community. The Senior BRM will work with various partners to educate and champion a change management strategy that leads to increased adoption to new process, systems or technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and maintains a long-term partnership with key groups and business units, serves as their single point of contact within IT. Responsible for assessing business needs that can be met through technology and coordinating the identification, prioritization, and resolution of situation-appropriate solutions within the constraints established by the IT governance process.
Provide recommendations for IT's short- and long-term technology development, investment and project management decisions that balance the interests of business partner and the Client as a whole, represented through the consolidated IT business plan.
Serves as a point of communication to keep business users informed of issues, events, priorities, and changes within their areas of interest. Represents IT in communicating IT services and strategy
Develops and executes the organizational change management strategy for the IT department and detailed plan for IT projects
QUALIFICATIONS
BS or BA degree in Information Technology Management or Business related field
15+ years of progressive information technology and/or financial business experience
Strong knowledge and experience in business process mapping and re-engineering
Strong ability to interact effectively and influence at all levels of the organization
Strong ability to work effectively with multiple businesses and IT stakeholders. Requires business process expertise and technical understanding of IT and impact on the business
Desire to keep current with technology and client industry
