This position will work onsite our Grand Forks, ND campus.
Purpose of Position
The Student Life Coordinator will support the Office of Student Life by providing professional administrative and programmatic support for all major student services and matters involving student life in the School of Law, with particular emphasis on admissions/recruiting, career development, examinations/assessments, and student advising and counseling. The Student Life Coordinator will work closely and collaboratively with the administration and faculty to ensure that UND law students experience a supportive and personalized educational environment that facilitates their professional and personal success both during and after law school.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide general programming and professional administrative support for Office of Student Life.
Work with Assistant Dean, Office of Student Life staff, and other staff & faculty to develop, implement, and administer Student Life programming.
Provide oversight and support for co-curricular and extra-curricular student organizations and student leaders, including serving as primary administrative contact for student organizations.
Provide administrative and programmatic support for career development services
Assist Director of Career Development with planning and implementing career development programs and services.
Coordinate administration and grading of examinations and other assessments.
Work with other administrators and with faculty to develop efficient and effective systems of administering exams and other assessments (including creating final examination schedule each semester), then coordinate the implementation of that system.
Provide training and technical support to students on exam software.
Coordinate examination procedures and scheduling for students who receive examination accommodations.
Work with faculty to obtain final examination materials for grading and to assist faculty with reporting and entering final course grades in a timely manner and in accordance with School of Law policy.
Provide administrative and programmatic support for admissions/student recruiting operations.
Assist as needed with processing of admissions applications and related materials.
Represent the School of Law as needed at recruiting events.
Meet and counsel prospective law students through in-person and virtual interactions as needed.
Inform and counsel prospective students on admissions processes, campus life, student services, and related aspects of law student recruitment.
Assist with School of Law administration.
Contribute to the success of the School of Law through collegial and constructive participation in administrative efforts.
Attendance at on- and off-campus events during and outside of ordinary business hours required; some additional travel required.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree OR 5 years professional experience in student services or related field.
Experience in managing records or maintaining information in an effective manner.
Experience working with students in a higher education setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications, as well as other standard computer software programs.
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
