We are pleased to announce the opening for a Missile Defense Advanced Architecture Senior Engineer, who will join our Engineering Services Division in Huntsville, Alabama and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team that supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Advanced Architecture Warfighter/International Integration office (MDA/CAI) in its mission, as the agency’s single point of contact for technical analyses for the warfighter and designated international allies/partners.
Responsibilities:
You’ll be:
Providing daily Missile Defense System (MDS) subject matter expertise to MDA/CAI leadership to enable their successful planning, execution and reporting for regionally focused analytical wargames and joint warfighter/international architectural analyses programs. Projected 2025 future workload for this position: CENTCOM AOR 40%, INDOPACOM AOR 20%, SPACECOM 10% and Missile Defeat Wargames 30%. Effort fluctuates based on MDA/CAI needs.
Developing and presenting analytical missile defense products at missile defense technical exchanges, special studies and wargames/exercises with warfighters, external offices, and international partners.
Providing missile defense collaborative planning, analyses, and systems engineering for designated international acquisition and international cooperative programs.
Working effectively across a talented ~30 - person government and contractor MDA/CAI team at geographically separate MDA locations and with the Combatant Command representatives overseas.
Traveling, to include international travel, will be required.
Basic Qualifications:
MS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
12+ years working on engineering for missile defense-related projects.
Active Secret Clearance or higher required
Preferred Qualifications:
Pro-active, positive, optimistic, and adaptive to conditions on the ground that will change through the course of planning and executing MDA/CAI efforts.
Able to rapidly develop clear and concise written products, and logically present MDS technical matters to MDA leaders and MDA warfighter/international working group meetings in support of MDA/CAI.
3+ years of experience in delivering timely, relevant communication and products to teammates (e.g., CAI, warfighters, developers, or international partners) to resolve complex, technical issues impacting the Missile Defense capabilities.
A thorough understanding of the MDS enterprise across the Department of Defense to include capabilities provided by the Services and employed at each Combatant Command to support the larger operational campaign.
A general understanding of Department of Defense, Warfighter, Service and MDA processes for requirements generation, modeling and simulation, capability development, testing, fielding, employment, and lifecycle sustainment of missile defeat weapon systems.
Able to effectively plan and execute daily work with minimal supervision to provide MDA/CAI with exceptional products and timely advice to meet their requirements.
