Job Description



Candidate will be responsible for establishing, overseeing, and managing all activities related to assigned shipboard systems. Candidate will perform the following: Research, development, and design of electrical components, equipment, and systems, in accordance with all contractual requirements, military and commercial specifications; initiate procurement specifications; review and approve supplier proposals; review, comment on, adjudicate and approve supplier furnished information for translation into construction products; interface with vendors and Navy technical representatives; support vendor design reviews and testing; develop drawings and other documents IAW Mil-Specs and contract drawings; interface with other disciplines and departments to ensure a seamless integration of assigned systems into the shipboard environment; address and resolve technical issues, and make decisions on problems in his/her area of responsibility; support shipbuilding production department as required.




Basic Qualifications



Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 0 years of engineering experience




Preferred Qualifications

• Previous shipbuilding experience is highly desired
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.
• Experience in the design and development of Controls Systems and equipment.
• A current security clearance is also a plus; some travel may be required.
