This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Applicants must be willing to work overtime and weekends.
Some departments are hot/wet, and some are cold/wet.
The work schedule is 4 day work week. Rotating days.
Position requires standing approximately 8.5 hrs/day on concrete floors. Position requires pulling or lifting over 40 lbs and climbing ladders above 10 feet.
Requires computer-based training and entering work into SAP system.
Position requires using LOTO, Fall protection, Ladders, Forklifts, pallet Jacks, Lawn mowers, Weed trimmers
Current maintenance techs will have first consideration over other applicants.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and computer skills is preferred.
Candidates must have 6 months of maintenance experience or be in a maintenance apprenticeship program.
Must have a Minimum of 6 months Industrial maintenance work expereience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance/refrigeration training program (can be a combination of employers as lon as experience is at least 6 months)
Rehiring Criteria: Applicant must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior. Applicants must also have completed at least 180 days since their last employment with Tyson.
