Case Management: The Team Leader consistently plans for patient care needs by reviewing appropriate of scheduled cases and availability of supplies/equipment and staff.
Clinical Expertise: Demonstrates competence and knowledge in the assessment, treatment and care of select patients within the perioperative setting. Regularly acts as a role model to nursing staff by demonstrating clinical and theoretical expertise, critical thinking and innovation in assigned OR specialty practice.
Educational and Professional Development: The Team Leader participates in the development of unit/ hospital-base boards of practice; mentors others in this development.
Leadership: The Team Leader exemplifies patient advocacy with physicians, staff, family and community. Proactively resolves issues and fosters this behavior in other staff members.
Performance Improvement: The Team Leader monitors and measures performance/practice to identify opportunities for improvement. Initiates action to correct immediate deficiencies and plans/initiates process improvement activities as indicated.

Qualifications
Current RN license in the state of Maryland (Required)
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field. (preferred).
BLS Certification (Required)
ACLS Certification (Preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of operating room experience (Required).
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare environment (preferred)
