Summary
The FirstEnergy Analytic Services team supports the hardware and software used for business analytics at FirstEnergy. The team works with FirstEnergy employees to understand their business processes and then guides the use of technology to support them.
An IT Application Configuration Analyst on the Analytic Services team is responsible for working with business units and IT to deliver and maintain applications that enable business transformation. The IT Application Configuration Analyst focuses on technical solutions and applications, understanding business processes and translating them into work projects in the form of analytics and dashboards. They will participate in the production support and enhancement lifecycle of FirstEnergy's analytic systems.
What You Will Need to be Qualified:
You have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related technical discipline with 7 years related experience. In lieu of a Degree, 9 years of related experience required.
Related experience should include configuring or administering systems to function per business requirements.
Understand and promote use of tools and applications supported by the Analytics Team.
In-Depth knowledge of the Azure data warehousing solution.
Work with Business developers to promote Power BI Governance and self-service analytics across FirstEnergy.
Plan and facilitate the Power BI user group monthly meetings.
Manage projects related to applications and hardware supported by the Analytics team.
Manage work assignments given to internal and external developers to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Assist in managing reporting environments to adhere to IT Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) Controls and CIP regulations.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to think creatively.
Knowledge of project management concepts and tools.
Experience facilitating meetings in support of projects.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications, and presentation skills.
Managed multiple stages of projects including, but not limited to, initiating a business case or project charter, creating work plans and resources plans, identifying risks, defining, and implementing change management, managing costs.
