Accounting Assistant job description:
Completing tasks associated with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Processing invoices - receiving, verifying and reconciling invoices to approved purchase orders
Managing expenses - tracking expenses and monitoring due dates
Paying vendors - scheduling and preparing checks and resolving discrepancies
Maintaining records - keeping accounting ledgers and historical records
Collaborating with others - working with accounting staff, auditors and other departments
Must have Microsoft Office knowledge for Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.
The candidate is expected to work diligently and efficiently. Must be accurate, be detail-oriented, and recognize confidentiality. Must have computer competence and knowledge of accounting software. Other duties as assigned.
