Description:
Reporting to the Director of the ICU/IMC, the Clinical Nurse demonstrates and applies the nursing process to plan and manage the care of patients in a critical care setting, which requires split-second decision-making skills.
Responsibilities include:
• Assessing patients' conditions and designing and implementing their care plans.
• Observing and recording patient vital signs.
• Administering intravenous fluids and medications.
• Ensuring that ventilators, monitors and other types of medical equipment function properly
• Ordering diagnostic tests.
• Collaborating with other team members.
• Applying nursing protocols to life-saving situations.
What you will need
Required:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (BSN or MSN) preferred. Note, if the BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame.
Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)
At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting
Preferred:
BSN or MSN
Pay Range: $35.41 - $54.19
Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
