Dole Packaged Foods is looking for a highly motivated Sales Strategy Analyst to support the sales strategy team in developing & executing best-in-class shopper marketing plans, helping to optimize our innovation launches, and assisting the sales team in preparing effective selling stories and presentations. The candidate will work on multiple food-related categories (i.e.: Snacking, Pantry, Beverages and Frozen).
The candidate will be exposed to challenging opportunities within highly competitive categories and rapidly changing market conditions. As such, an entrepreneurial mindset is a must.
This role provides the flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. Hybrid is defined as three times per week in the office.
Responsibilities
Support the Sales Strategy Team in proactively identifying industry, consumer and competitive trends through developing data reports from primary sources and to make recommendations for action plans and programs based on key learnings.
Assist in development of account presentations and selling stories, collaborating with RSMs, Sales Strategy Managers, Category Management team, RGM team and Brand teams
Allocation reporting and inventory shift tracking during times of supply shortages – collaborating with Customer Operations, Demand Planning and RSMs
Provide analyses, proposals, and recommendations related to shopper marketing spend
Monthly slotting spend tracker and forecast calculations
Shopper marketing expense tracking to maintain adherence to planned budgets
Administer IO’s/PO’s for Shopper programs
Coupon set-up and coupon performance tracking
Assistance with new vendor set up
Gather assets needed for shopper marketing initiatives
Maintain coupon family codes in Pinpoint
Assist in the development and execution of internal meetings and external trade shows/customer events.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:
1-2 years of experience in brand management, category management or customer development work.
Strong familiarity with the issues and processes involved in doing business with the retail grocery trade.
Experience with financial, syndicated data, and general business analyses.
Previous success with championing recommendations to headquarters management.
High-Intermediate to Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Strong spreadsheet abilities are important.

Education & Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
If no degree, 5+ years in a CPG sales or category management role required

Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach

Occasional travel required

Hiring Pay Scale: $70,000 to $90,000
