Basic Job Functions:


Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• Properly follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
• Dispatch drivers to ensure efficient, timely service.
• Provide support to all company and contract drivers and assist in providing solutions to any issues that may arise.
• Coordinate mobile mechanic services as needed.
• Field customer and driver related calls, both during and after working hours.
• Review and process daily paperwork and document contractor delay times for billing reconciliation.
• Monitor driver performance and provide necessary reports to management.
• Maintain a working list of asset inventory to support the commercial team.
• Collaborate daily with commercial and operations teammates to achieve asset utilization rates set forth by management.
• Perform general office administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the Manager.
• Travel as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Dispatch experience required.
• Professional, can-do attitude.
• Eager to go the extra mile to learn the scrap metal recycling industry.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and multitask.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word and the ability to learn in house systems.
