Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Properly follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
Dispatch drivers to ensure efficient, timely service.
Provide support to all company and contract drivers and assist in providing solutions to any issues that may arise.
Coordinate mobile mechanic services as needed.
Field customer and driver related calls, both during and after working hours.
Review and process daily paperwork and document contractor delay times for billing reconciliation.
Monitor driver performance and provide necessary reports to management.
Maintain a working list of asset inventory to support the commercial team.
Collaborate daily with commercial and operations teammates to achieve asset utilization rates set forth by management.
Perform general office administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Travel as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
Dispatch experience required.
Professional, can-do attitude.
Eager to go the extra mile to learn the scrap metal recycling industry.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and multitask.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word and the ability to learn in house systems.
