With a mission to deliver best-in-class Finance technology capabilities as accelerators and enablers of growth, the Mars Corporate Finance Technology (FinTech) organization plays a critical role in delivering the Enterprise Digital Transformation agenda for Mars.
As a member of the FinTech organization, the Portfolio Roadmap and Architecture Lead will partner closely with the Intake, Portfolio & Financial Management Senior Manager to create the transformation roadmap and manage the FinTech portfolio and Intake Management processes. This is an Individual Contributor role which will be at the heart of shaping the integrated strategic roadmap for FinTech, will ensure new initiatives are evaluated compared to the roadmap, and Finance systems are deployed in a consistent and governed way.
What are we looking for?
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree. MS/MBA preferred.
6+ years of experience in Finance Technology
Exceptional expertise in system integrations and experience planning and deploying transformational programs within large-scale organizations
Exceptional organizational skills, as they will need to integrate and adapt many program and project timelines into a clear portfolio roadmap
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various internal and external stakeholders
Strong influencing skills, as they will coordinate with resources and leaders across the broader organization
Strong business acumen as well as the FinTech ecosystem awareness
Quick learner and adaptable to changing environments
Proven track record of managing large-scale transformation, developing technology roadmaps and designing technology architecture.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Responsibilities for the Portfolio Roadmap and Architecture Lead include, but are not limited to:
Intake Management:
Manage the Intake Management process to capture, assess and suggest project timing in alignment with the strategic portfolio roadmap and business need.
Partner closely with the Resource Management and Financial Management leads to assess resource and budgetary impact for new initiatives run through Intake
Drive awareness across Mars Inc. on the Intake Management process and project deployment
Work closely with the Mars Digital Technologies Strategic PMO team to track projects to completion and ensure multiple concurrent go-lives are avoided.
Portfolio Roadmap Management:
Collaboratively develop an integrated strategic FinTech portfolio roadmap with cross-functional teams (Corporate, Segments, MGS) and manage insights into the portfolio health as the roadmap is deployed
Partner with senior finance stakeholders across the enterprise to influence decision-making and represent FinTech across the broader organization
Partner closely with the pillars within FinTech (e.g. Digital Core, Finance & Accounting, Planning & Analytics) to ensure the roadmap strategy is realized and program timelines achieved through delivery
Play a functional / business partnering role by holding the business accountable for their roles & responsibilities in project delivery across the Portfolio Roadmap
Support the acceleration of benefits to Finance through the development of an integrated roadmap
Ensure deployment and activation strategies / standards are embedded across the FinTech portfolio projects in a consistent and comprehensive way
Partner closely within the Strategy & Operations FinTech pillar to ensure key considerations from Resource Management, Intake Deployment, and Financial Management are built into the integrated roadmap
Support the management of portfolio operational risk and program execution readiness
Ensure prioritized projects meet strategic goals and objectives
Be part of a strategic team to ensure the FinTech portfolio is at the heart of transformation at Mars
Portfolio Architecture Lead:
Shape architecture vision, strategy to embed adaptability into the FinTech organization
Create awareness on architecture changes driven by the integrated roadmap
Support a culture of continuous improvement by staying current with the latest FinTech capabilities and edge solutions, leveraging market-leading technology, and supporting financial strategies that differentiate Mars and enable growth
Drive awareness across key stakeholders around project deployment, legacy system / process retirement, data validation / conversion, etc.
