Your Role:
This position will be based in St. Louis site within ISCO E&T's Global Process Engineering organization. As a Senior Process Engineer and Discipline Lead, you will play a pivotal role in advancing regional and global capital investment projects. This dynamic position involves providing specialized knowledge for capital projects, collaborating on global process engineering strategies and standards, and enhancing local production processes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Serve as the primary process engineering support for ISCO E&T's regional project execution in the U.S., focusing on the Life Science (LS) core technologies, including Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) production, chemical reaction processes, distillation, membrane production, single-use bag manufacturing, API production, and liquid and solids handling
Leverage your understanding of project management principles to function as Process Workstream Lead in capital investment projects, ensuring the delivery of CAPEX process packages that meet objectives for quality, budget, schedule, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Deliver integrated, functional process solutions from engineering design through installation and start-up of new and improved systems to meet customer expectations and business goals
Specify requirements and overseeing contractor deliveries
Review, accept, and manage deviations in contractor outputs
Integrate contributions from specialists and experts to create functional solutions
Ensure the timely delivery of assigned work packages according to project specifications, including adherence to engineering schedules and budgets
Promote safe and compliant project execution while incorporating sustainability measures in line with corporate and departmental safety practices
Act as a Core Technology Specialist (CTS) to develop and strengthen technical knowhow and market knowledge within LS manufacturing processes
Develop and maintain specialist-level expertise to shape ISCO's value-creating asset base for current and future demands
Define the standards and deliverables required for project execution in related core technologies
Provide comprehensive support, from consulting and defining technical specifications, to reviewing supplier quotes, troubleshooting and issue resolution
Offer operations debottlenecking support, including advice, mentoring, and hands-on assistance when necessary
Execute Operational Excellence (OPEX) projects focused on cost reduction, yield enhancement, and efficiency improvements
Support initiatives aimed at enhancing automation and smart manufacturing through increased utilization of DCS and other control systems, improving process control, operator efficiency, risk reduction, safety, and environmental performance
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, or other Engineering discipline
3+ years of experience in an engineering role focused on CAPEX project execution and production operations improvement from a process engineering perspective
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of Process Engineering concepts and related equipment in at least one of the core LS technologies, preferably in antibody-drug conjugate manufacturing processes
Proven experience in leading the development and delivery of capital investment projects within an operations or supply chain environment
Proficiency in ChemCAD and other process simulation software
Familiarity with Minitab and AutoCAD engineering tools
Ability to effectively collaborate across a matrix organization, engaging with global colleagues, external engineering firms, equipment vendors, and cross-functional teams
PMP or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification
